I began volunteering for Citizens Advice in March 2017. This gave me the opportunity to pursue a role as a trainee debt caseworker, which I began in July 2017. This year training contract gave me a strong foundation in debt, benefit and housing casework. After my training contract came to an end I was assigned to a Money Advice Service Debt Advice Project (MASDAP) contract, which has led to me specialising debt work, as well as developing my practice in housing. My current role is a mixture of advice, casework, advocacy and civil litigation. This year I will begin training as a Chartered Legal Executive with a view to becoming a fully qualified solicitor.
