About Oliver Ow
Born in Singapore and raised in London, my musical journey started at the age of 10 years old. Inspired by Blues, Funk, Electronic, Pop, Rock, and anything I could get my ears on, my love and curiosity led to my pursuit of a music career. Since graduating in 2010, I’ve been professionally playing and teaching drums, bass, electric/acoustic guitar, and ukulele at schools and independently.Over the years, I’ve had more than 250 students from all over the world under my tutelage, and developed courses for schools as well as familiarised myself with syllabuses, including but not limited to, RockSchool, Trinity, and IB Diploma. All this while balancing my love for performing at residencies and events, and most recently, concerts and live loop sessions online.Music has been a part of everything I’ve ever done professionally - whether it be studying, performing, teaching, marketing, planning, or organising events. In my free time, you can find me either jamming with friends or cooking up new recipes. Once the borders open up, I plan to travel more and do more volunteer work with children, especially those with special needs.
