About Oliver Parr

I am a passionate and dedicated educator. I enjoy teaching history and technology to schools and groups visiting the Museum. I have been a part of the team who have moved the REME Museum from Arborfield, Berkshire to Lyneham, Wiltshire. Not only did this entail developing and executing outreach programs to schools and groups in Wiltshire, I have also been involved in the operational elements of the move itself. I am currently developing a range of education sessions that will be run in the new museum once it opens. This project involves liaising with schools, teachers and other key individuals in the local community. Personally I enjoy spending time with my family, reading history books and long distance walking. In the past I have walked from Reading to Bristol, Brighton and London. I have also completed the South Downs Way from Winchester to Eastbourne. For one of my walks, I raised over £500 for two excellent charities.
