It can image samples in air, or submersed in liquid which makes it ideal for looking at biological samples. Bristol has developed a High speed AFM (HSAFM) that can image in real time at over 30 fps. It has nanometer resolution in x y and z. I have developed a theory that explains this low friction regime. Also throughout my PhD I have been increasing the image quality and usability of the microscope. Show less
