Working within the Plant Quality department at Solihull I was responsible for the warranty metric of Range Rover and Range Rover Sport. This was an intermittent role during my time as a graduate at Jaguar Land Rover and became my full time responsibility in September 2019. Roles and responsibilities:- Plant Quality representative at site daily start-up meeting for warranty – ensure robust inspection in place for customer issues and compile reports of relevant concerns for distribution to lineside Plant Quality inspectors- Ran ‘unbelievable’ issue process to investigate embarrassing and significant warranty claims. Minimised customer impact using 8D problem solving to ensure immediate containment and root cause identification. Findings presented weekly to directors- Analysed warranty data to highlight emerging issues and trends as well as target costly projects- Prepared a succinct monthly report to clearly communicate risk to directors- Chaired a weekly interdepartmental warranty meeting for engineers to present progress and request cross-functional support on complex warranty projects- Achieved the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt using problem solving techniques to complete a manufacturing project on Range Rover Sport SVRThe LTIS role also provided managerial experience through running a team of 3 Sub System Team Coordinators. I worked with the Facilities team within Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) at Solihull. This team work closely with the AME Process and Construction teams to design and install new equipment while optimising the cost, footprint and effect on manufacturing capacity.Roles and responsibilities:- Raised requests for quotations on conveyances- Created schematics to simulate manufacturing capacity- Raised concerns of potential constraints of new conveyance systems to stakeholders

On top of the LTIS role and placements I spent 2 weeks on the production line and completed the Group Leader Academy as part of the Jaguar Land Rover graduate scheme. I developed a better understanding of the daily shop floor challenges and a greater appreciation of these colleagues’ expertise, agility and experience.

I completed a 3 month placement in the Vehicle Integration Management team for the 2020 Range Rover Evoque. This team's role was to arbitrate between cross-functional teams to ensure system targets are met through engineering compromise. Primary Engineering Checkpoint (PEC) was the significant deadline during my time based in the team.Roles and responsibilities:- Worked with engineers to populate the technical data sheet - Managed the use of data loggers on attribute demonstrator vehicles for the Powertrain team- Facilitated and prioritised work groups to solve issues raised on assessment drives - Provided daily updates for the engineering scorecard on the lead up to PEC

I worked in the advanced process control team at Pembroke refinery - one of Europe's most complex refineries. My role involved supporting process and process control engineers on long and short-term projects, analysing data to troubleshoot control issues and compiling reports and presentations for management. I also organised Valero's participation in Frank Morton 2016. Working at Valero developed my understanding of process control and its importance in industry. I also improved my communication skills in a professional environment.

I worked as part of a hospitality team that provided a high quality and friendly service in a pressured environment. The role involved a wide range of responsibilities from bar work through to waiting on tables at weddings and functions.I developed my interpersonal and communication skills through dealing with unhappy customers and learnt the importance of good customer service.

As the summer intern I worked on process improvement projects on both laboratory and production scale. As well as the process improvement projects I supported the running of the production scale pilot plant during product optimisation.During my summer internship I gained an appreciation of the fundamental importance of health and safety in industry and developed an understanding of economic and commercial drivers.
