I am a civil engineer and a volunteer with the NSW State Emergency Service (SES). I have a passion for technology, sports, and community service.As a Civil engineer at Webuild, I work as part of a team to manage, price, and design civil projects. I communicate effectively with different stakeholders, such as design, construction, procurement, and estimating teams, and subcontractors. I also use software systems, such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Power Automate, to perform data analysis, project delivery, and engineering tasks.I have been honoured to have been chosen as a Finalist for the FEIT Capstone Showcase Awards in recognition of my outstanding Capstone (thesis) work at UTS. This prestigious award focuses on innovation, potential for commercialisation, and invention. In my research, I conducted a comprehensive before-and-after study to evaluate the advantages of automation technology within the framework of lean construction philosophy. This endeavour has not only expanded my expertise but has also inspired me to apply my skills towards developing an innovative solution. This solution aims to efficiently yield positive outcomes for Webuild during the tender construction phase, showcasing my commitment to applying academic knowledge to real-world challenges.As a volunteer with the SES, I have been involved in emergency management and rescue operations. I have attained the rank of Group Officer and been appointed to the position of Technology Coordinator for my local SES unit. I have also been awarded the Stuart Doyle Award for the greatest single contribution to the unit in 2020, and the NSW Premier’s Bushfire Emergency Citation for my role in combating the 2019-2020 bushfires. In addition to these achievements, I have also received academic recognition and pursued other interests. I have been awarded the GOLD Duke of Edinburgh Award, the UTS Dean’s List Engineering 2021, 2022 & 2023, and the PLATINUM UTS Virtual Accomplish Award. I have also built my own computer, practiced drone photography, participated in orienteering and rogaining events, and learned coding skills.Looking forward, I am eager to channel my skills, innovation, and commitment to excellence into impactful projects that not only contribute to the advancement of civil engineering but also make a positive difference in the community. Whether in a professional or volunteer capacity, I am dedicated to pushing boundaries and driving positive change.
