The TUH Campus Manager / Emergency Coordinator is senior leadership position responsible for the strategic service delivery of emergency planning and continuity management, security services, facility services, fleet services, travel services, switch board, mail services and fire safety. This includes the management of 60 staff (12 direct reports) and various contracts. Financial delegation for this position is $50,000 and has responsibility for a $10-million annual operating budget.

Working as a key member of the Facilities, Infrastructure and Support Services team, to deliver effective day-to-day facility management of four community-based health care facilities and grounds, to support service delivery, expansion and the strategic outcomes of the Townsville Hospital and Health Service.

Provide leadership and management of 45 Security and Administrative staff, and supply Security Service including comprehensive risk assessments for The Townsville Hospital and at all 21 facilities within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS). Facilitate the ongoing development of Security Services in accordance with organisational and technological changes, ensuring the continued security, safety and wellbeing of employees, patients, visitors and assets. Liaise with Police, Corrective Services, Emergency Services and act as first point of contact in emergency situations in accordance with all relevant legislations and policies.

Management and coordination of the department and ensure the safety and security of guests, staff and assets through quality management of fire prevention, OH&S program, rehabilitation program and risk management inside the precinct of Hayman Island.
