HCPC registered biomedical scientist currently working in a high throughput haematology and transfusion lab within a busy major trauma hospital. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team within pathology and with the wider hospital community has allowed me to develop my problem solving and interpersonal skills. From my role I have gained valuable knowledge in performing scientific assays, analytical thinking, and interpreting patient results to ensure they are correct and reported in a timely manner.I have also become proficient in troubleshooting, maintaining and fixing complex analysers, as well as using a range of lab and manufacturer LIMS programs ensuring appropriate quality procedures are followed at all times.
