My role was to ensure effective and efficient support to the end users, while maintaining KFM standards in all aspects of work. The role involved making sure all requisitions, purchase orders and catalogue requests are processed correctly and usage trends involving repeat orders are addressed accordingly.I supported staff members with the implementation of changes and help to enhance customer experience. Part of this role is to support and guide the Inventory Co-ordinators and assist Receipt and Distribution in receipting/delivery of goods Over the COVID-19 Christmas period I had the opportunity to deputised jointly for my managers and team leaders during their periods of absence, as well as from time to time ordering for the PRUH when colleagues are covering. Key daily responsibilities:• Ensure orders are processed correctly and authorised by the budget holder• Prioritize work in accordance with its importance• Resolve any questions/issues regarding orders • Assist colleagues with any projects e.g. setting up wards • Support the Inventory Co-ordinator and Receipt & Distribution with unpacking wards or receipting goods• Keep track of orders on D365 and other systems, if necessary, chase the order• Help train new employees and support other Purchasing Support Co-ordinators with their queries and product knowledge • When required collect consumables from other sites• Support Inventory Co-ordinators with getting products in for the same day to ensure continuous service • Promptly deal with customer queries and complaints.• Approve pending REQS in line with best practice• Point end users in the direction of suppliers who give them the best price/service • Searching for alternative items or gathering price for equipment
