As well as writing funding proposals and impact reports for prospective and current major donors, I was also responsible for cultivating relationships with mid-level donors. I was given the task of developing a mid-level donor strategy, to ensure I could identify potential mid-level donors, reach out to them, and cultivate gifts. I developed a workplan to ensure that a large pool of over 900 supporters could be contacted consistently. I am skilled in building relationships with donors, and working with them so their giving can be aligned with a charity's development goals. On top of writing and managing relationships, I also wrote internal updates regarding the impact my team's interventions were making for our whole charity.

I was responsible for writing proposals, update reports and completion reports for donors who generously fund interventions around the world. This involved in-depth research to identify key statistics to support my writing, as well as constantly remaining aware of ongoing trends in global development. This included writing the copy for a booklet designed to generate donations from prospective major donors, as part of the charity's government-backed appeal. I was also responsible for coordinating interventions initiated by our donors, acting as the conduit between our UK donors and staff based in 25 field countries around the world. My role also included helping to decide which interventions our organisation commits to funding, as well as supplying relationship managers with key information about these interventions which they can then present to prospective donors. I also helped create email marketing campaigns aimed at raising money for our interventions.

Responsible for writing intervention funding proposals directed at individual donors, in order to attract funding for interventions to help children and adults living in extreme poverty. This involved extensive online research, the ability to convey complex information succinctly and the knowledge of how to convince my reader of the importance of their support. These interventions range from income-generation skills training to the construction of improved sanitation facilities. I also wrote interim and completion reports after donors have agreed to fund an intervention, advising them of the difference their generosity has made. I took pride in knowing my work helped communities living in extreme poverty.

I was responsible for conducting online research and writing my findings in a clear, concise manner for a range of business audiences. This involved primarily monitoring and identifying data trends in media reports, before explaining why these trends are occurring and the impact they can have for a range of organisations. As well as this, I analysed information available on a wide variety of open source intelligence platforms, such as social media.
