Hello, I am Oliver Dingley; a proud member of Team Ireland. I represented Ireland at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio. It is every athlete's dream to compete at an Olympic Games in February 2016, that dream became a reality as I became the first Irish Diver, since Eddie Heron 68 years ago, to qualify a spot for Ireland. At the 2016 Olympics, I became the first Irish diver to Make an Olympic final finishing 8th. I am also a world finalist and international medalist. Just like Eddie Heron, I want to create Irish sporting history and hopefully leave a lasting legacy for Irish diving & aquatics. Outside of diving, I have taken up various ambassador and public speaking roles. I have gained valuable experience in areas close to my heart such as healthy living and getting people into sport.In 2014, I launched my own personal project visiting numerous schools and youth groups in order to promote sport and an active and well balanced lifestyle using the Olympic values. This is a project I would love to continue especially within Irish communities. Due to my success in the pool, I have been regularly contributing to radio & TV.I also currently study Film & Broadcasting at Technological University Dublin where I have a passion for script writing, documentary, radio and producing.   I am a full-time athlete who competes in the sport of Diving. In 2016, I became the first Irish diver to compete at the Olympic Games in 68 years. I went on to make the Olympic final in the Men’s 3-meter springboard event.
