Selected for the CGS fellowship programme to study towards a Master’s degree in strategic communication. Graduated with a distinction.

Educating, training and motivating British Army Majors in post-graduate level professional military education. Strategy, leadership, strategic communication and operational planning.

Project Managing the Army Strategic Communication and Information Activity capability

Led a highly operational 160-strong EOD unit. Trained and prepared personnel for deployment to high risk areas and supported UK resilience. Deployed with my team to counter IS activity in Iraq Dec 16-Jun 17.

Strategic Communication planner and strategy formulation (operational planner). Deployed to Nigeria as UK military strategic communication advisor to Nigerian Armed Forces facing the Boko Haram insurgency. Designed civ/mil resilience and contingency plans for UK interests in high-risk countries. Liaison officer to FCO's Crisis Management Department during various crises.

Led a specialist military team delivering communication and applied behavioural science in support of operations. Deployed twice to Afghanistan working with national and international agencies. Taught Target Audience Analysis and influence/strategic communication courses to UK and foreign military audiences. Extended in post and promoted early in this role.

Career management, welfare, training and motivation of the 140 members of the squadron. On deployment to Afghanistan I managed engineering projects across twenty locations in a demanding logistical and communications atmosphere.

Commanded amphibious bridging troop.
