I led a cross-functional team for the NY Times Beta Group researching the feasibility of launching a new digital business in the health and wellness space. The project did not materialize, but the work was used to further develop existing products.

Launched SocialWorkout.com, an irreverent blog coveringAmerican fitness and health culture. Attracted a cult following.Raised $1MM in Angel funding, and expanded site to includepurpose ­built interactive challenge site. Social Workout has hostedover 40,000 group challenges, partnered with dozens of mediacompanies, inspired numerous copycats, and is responsible for atleast one marriage.
