Leading the development and execution of a strategy to help accelerate critical solutions to climate change with a particular focus on ocean-based solutions that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, remove historical emissions from the atmosphere, and creatively repair the damage caused by warming.

I have been driving the design and launch of a $100 million fund to scale transformative health businesses and programs across Africa. The fund is one initiative of the Health Finance Coalition, a public-private partnership envisioned by Ray Chambers to channel large amounts of additional investment to health in Africa. In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, we completed a first ad-hoc deal in line with the fund's vision: a $20 million guarantee facility to enable thousands of front-line private health providers across Africa to continue to operate despite major disruption. In pursuing this vision, I have had the privilege to work alongside great global health and impact investment leaders from Malaria No More and Total Impact Capital, among others.

Launched in East African in 2013, Kepler has delivered exceptional learning and employment outcomes for its initial graduates and is now scaling to reach thousands more students who have the talent, but not the means, to complete a quality university education and secure an attractive job.

Founded, built, and grew a novel approach to addressing the youth employment crisis in Africa, with roughly half of African university graduates unable to secure a job following graduation. Spire developed short, high-quality programs based on the latest learning science to provide youth with the critical skills in demand from employers rather than theory. Our programs achieved high learning and employment outcomes among initial cohorts of graduatesI went transitioned to a non-executive board role in Spire in 2015 to found Nova Pioneer. Spire was acquired in 2017.

ARK is the leading operator of academies (charter schools) in the UK. I supported the organization to build on that experience to make a major strategic shift towards becoming a leader in improving education in Africa and India.

As the Executive Vice President for Global Programs at the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), I led the design and execution of large-scale programs to reduce child mortality and transform health systems in more than 20 countries and managed the organization’s relationships with major global institutions. Among other efforts, we played a central role in the development and launch of a global initiative that delivered more than one billion doses of quality malaria medicines across more than a dozen countries and spearheaded a global movement that dramatically expanded access to effective diarrheal treatment in Africa and Asia, addressing a leading cause of child mortality. In total, I and our amazing team raised more than $80 million to build and scale these initiatives.
