In my PhD I focused on learning representations that facility data efficient learning of downstream tasks. I have been investigating neuroscience-inspired approaches to SLAM and place recognition. In my latest research I investigated how the slowness principle from neuroscience can be leveraged to learn better representations from video data and studied applications to imitation learning from observation.
