Working with a number of clients in the premium event catering sector to operationally deliver successful events.

Responsible for overseeing the operations of the London event bookings team; supplying appropriate temporary event staff to many of London's premium caterers and high-end event venues.I managed a number of key client accounts, including for several of the companies top 10 clients. I maintained and developed existing business relationships, successfully enhancing client satisfaction and generating business growth. I successfully onboarded and retained two new major contract clients, whilst also renegotiating rates and increasing our proportion of staffing with existing clients; significantly increasing the departments year on year turnover and maintaining profit margins, despite increasing costs. I directly supervised a team of permanent staff, whilst also having responsibility for a large database of 1000+ temporary staff. I was responsible for managing company quotations to secure business from a range of private clients, event planners and corporations. This included setting appropriate rates and also helping provide assistance with staffing requirements. I also effectively analysed our capacity to take on additional business, without reducing the quality of our operation. I was active in helping improve the company’s processes including: driving implementation of a new staff audit process; eligibility to work tracking; bringing in staff retention schemes and running a recruitment account.Additionally I worked onsite in a variety of leadership roles, including front of house management, to assist clients in the successful delivery of events at exclusive venues across London.

Managed all processes involved with booking appropriate temporary event staff into client assignments, in order to fulfil client requirements and ensure smooth operations at each event. I effectively balanced the staffing resources available across all bookings on any given day, in order to deliver quality and exceed client expectations. I managed the recruitment and selection process for temporary staff from initial candidate application through to employment. This included telephone screening, face to face interviewing of successful applicants and conducting company induction and training sessions. Additionally, I was responsible for the specialist bar training programme; this involved selecting, training and managing the development of appropriate candidates.

Temporary position over the busy Christmas events season, during which I helped support both the recruitment and bookings teams. Duties included: screening applications; conducting telephone and face to face interviews; booking appropriate staff for temporary assignments; briefing staff with security, travel and uniform information and running a bar training session.

Completed a number of events for different catering contractors in positions such as a Waiter, Head Waiter/Floor Manager, Bartender and Bar Manager. In my roles as Head Waiter and Bar Manager I assisted senior event managers in the smooth operation of an event, delegating roles and helping to motivate staff. My commitment to high quality customer service was recognised by being awarded employee of the month for August 2014.

I had responsibility for the welfare and activities for an age group of children. This involved planning the activities and organising the schedule to best meet the needs of children, on a day-to-day basis. I supervised up to 5 group leaders to help lead activities and prepare equipment. I was also the first point of contact for parents during sign-in and sign-out.
