Our high-level mission is to ensure that the former RAF Scampton in Lincolnshire remains an operational airfield, the airspace continues to be usefully used by both the Red Arrows and for other commercial flight test and research purposes, the historical buildings on the base are preserved and improved, and to build a high-tech commercial aerospace ecosystem over time, to the greater economic benefit of Lincolnshire and the wider East Midlands. Amongst other exciting developments, we will honour Scampton's rich aviation heritage with an immersive museum experience, telling the full story of the of the site and its connection to aviation and the Royal Air Force, including the development of a world-class visitor centre in celebration of the famous Red Arrows.

The Heritage Aircraft Trust is a UK registered Charity (No. 1134981 – registered in 2010), which promotes its work under the Gnat Display Team brand. Most famously used by the Royal Air Force Red Arrows aerobatic team, it was also used to train more than 1400 fast jet pilots for the RAF. Given its supersonic speeds and superb handling capabilities, it was also used as a fighter jet by several foreign Air Forces.For many years the Charity has maintained several Folland Gnat aircraft and displayed them on the European Airshow circuit. The team includes experienced ex-service engineers who run the Charity’s own Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) approved maintenance organisation, as well as experienced current and ex-military pilots who hold CAA Airshow Display Authorisations.The Charity also consists of volunteer Trustees, who oversee the operations of the Charity. The Trustees long term aim is to restore and maintain in flying condition as many vintage jet aircraft as possible for the education and enjoyment of future generations.The public face of the Charity is The Gnat Display Team, which has its home base at North Weald Airfield in Essex, near London in the UK. North Weald Airfield was first established in 1916, only 13 years after the Wright Brothers made the World’s first powered flight. It initially served to protect London from the Zeppelin raids in the First World War. North Weald’s finest hour came in the summer of 1940, when it served as a front-line airfield in the Battle of Britain.

• BT Agilemedia is a business unit within BT Wholesale focused on the delivery of secure Mass Participation Media services to television stations and production companies such as the BBC, ITV, Endemol and Fremantle Media.• Managed the development and operation of a comprehensive suite of web-based tools to provide the necessary regulatory compliance and audit capabilities around large scale UK audience-participation (televote) events such as X-Factor, I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here and Strictly Come Dancing.• Developed and operated two large-scale IVR platforms to deliver complex participation media solutions to a number of major UK corporate and media customers.• Designed and delivered the UK’s first high volume IVR-based PCI-compliant card payment platform, subsequently used for major high profile UK telethon events such as the BBC’s Children in Need, ITV’s Soccer Aid and Sport Relief.

• Worked for BT Global Services (BTGS) managing the development and launch of new access capabilities to reduce unit cost for local access and network reach into new or remote territories. • Consultant and subject matter expert to Access Product Management, Solution Designers, Network Designers and Supplier Management teams in the specification for a Standardised MPLS-based NNI (Network to Network Interface) capability for BT Global Services.• Standardised MPLS NNI was a BT Global Services sponsored network and IT development that was deployed initially in China, Russia and LatAm. This capability enables BT to globally extend its service offerings across multiple carriers and effectively extend their network across the globe into new or remote territories without the need to own or manage infrastructure, thereby significantly reducing BT’s network CapEx and OpEx spend.• Managed the production of the RFI and RFP for supplier selection for Standardised MPLS NNI. Oversight of supplier adjudication process for China, Russia, India and LatAm; decision maker on final supplier selection and subsequent contract negotiation. Owned the production of new service schedules (MSA); responsible for gaining project executive approval, through to final contract signature with selected partners.• Managed the delivery and testing of the operational interconnect platforms into the BT 21CN for China, Russia, India and LatAm with a variety of regional third party network operators.• Managed ‘Delegation of Authority’ (DoA) pack preparation and submission to key executive stakeholders for BTGS Ethernet Access launch to key markets in Asia Pacific and Americas.• Coordination and Management of Unit Cost analysis for local access into major BTGS markets. Produced methodology and subsequent analysis for top 7 GS markets, highlighting opportunities for significant OpEx cost savings.

• Ran a programme to deliver an MPLS Multi-Carrier Interconnection Platform (M-CIP) for BT Design. M-CIP was a BT Design capability that was part of BT's Web21C initiative, bridging the gap between IT and networking. • M-CIP was designed to interconnect the BT MPLS network and the global multi-carrier environment, enabling BT to extend its MPLS and IP VPN service offerings across multiple carriers’ networks and effectively extend the 21CN across the globe. This programme was later merged into the Standardised MPLS NNI programme which is still used by BT to deliver global VPN services to its enterprise customers.• Managed liaison between BT Design, BT Global Services, the MPLS and Access Product Groups to produce the M-CIP specification, architecture, solution design and prototypes. • Managed an on-shore agile software development team and delivered a number of M-CIP Proofs of Concept, on time and to budget.

• Responsible for the Enterprise Data Services product portfolio, P&L and product development roadmap, encompassing Layer 2 and Layer 3 MPLS-based VPN products. • Designed and implemented MPLS interconnects with a number of strategic partner carriers to extend the geographic reach of Level 3 VPN and VoIP services. Fundamental understanding of the technical and operational complexities of delivering end-to-end QoS-based services over multi-carrier global networks and cross-provider service management considerations.• Responsible for organising the executive ‘IP Think Tank’ for Level 3 in Europe. This was a group of visionary and influential members of the business who met monthly to discuss industry and technology direction, provide guidance and steering to Level 3’s future IP product strategy in Europe.• Developed concept of a global MPLS-based IP VPN service to deliver QoS-based voice, video and multimedia peering capabilities. This service delivery platform was based strongly around IMS and ENUM capabilities, enabling Level 3 customers to deliver the highest quality next-generation applications in a seamless network-agnostic environment.• Represented Level 3 at numerous industry conferences, particularly those with an MPLS or IP focus. Delivered keynote presentations on behalf of senior executives and the President of Level 3 Europe at major industry conferences including Carriers World and Global IP Carriers.• Unique qualities brought to Level 3 were a sound technical knowledge of TCP/IP, MPLS, VoIP, IPTV and related telecom technologies; excellent Internet and Data Services market knowledge, combined with good commercial sense and the ability to engage and communicate convincingly at any level, both internally and within a customer’s organisation.

Responsible for market analysis, product specification and meeting European revenue and profitability targets.• Successfully developed and launched Level 3’s (3)CrossRoads IP Transit product portfolio in EMEA. It was developed to permit real-time monitoring of key metrics of both the Level 3 global MPLS network and specific customer service instances.• Successfully launched the OCSC throughout Western Europe with support for 5 languages in 5 countries in early 2000. Marketed the service to the customer base with an adoption rate of over 70%.

• Created a new Wide Area Networking group to deliver appropriate network infrastructure to support the solutions-based sales focus of the company.• Responsible for the design and technical specification of all customer WANs and LANs requiring Layer 3 functionality, remote access and security or firewall services.• Cisco specialist with detailed knowledge of a variety of other vendors’ access, security and firewall products. Developed and managed a Gold Partner reseller relationship with Cisco.• Established a profitable Premier Partner reseller relationship with BT. Accredited by BT to design, install and configure solutions based on most terrestrial access mediums from ISDN, Kilostream and Megastream services to Frame Relay and Cellstream ATM solutions.

• Hired as Internal Systems Developer with responsibility for the development and management of the internal IT systems and communications equipment of a £30m turnover organisation supporting in excess of 200 users across 3 UK locations. • Managed an early organisation-wide migration from Win3.1x and MS-Mail, to Win95/NT and Microsoft Exchange whilst also migrating from Novell to NT Server for key business services.• Responsible for developing and implementing the Internet and Intranet service offerings for the company, providing managed web hosting and email services. Established company as a reseller of UUNET managed Internet services. The platform and service wrap allowed the company to leverage in-house web and Intranet development services and to offer hosting to its clients.

Cullum Detuners are specialists in the field of industrial environmental noise control solutions, focusing on structural, civil and acoustic design and construction of turnkey engineering solutions for offshore and onshore gas turbine and power generation applications for major blue-chip Companies including the Royal Air Force, Rolls Royce, British Aerospace and British Gas. http://www.cullum.co.uk• Worked in a design office of engineering professionals, taking responsibility for all computer-based engineering analysis work, including Finite Element Analysis (Stress and fatigue calculations) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (thermal fluid flow calculations). • Designed and implemented IT and networking solutions to support a hybrid PC and Sun-based engineering analysis suite within the Design Office. This level of advanced engineering analysis facility was essential for the company to continue to tender for large-scale turnkey engineering solutions for blue-chip organisations.• Worked with Rolls Royce in 1995 managing the initial design, delivery and ultimate acceptance testing of an indoor gas turbine test facility for the RR Trent series of aero engines, subsequently used to power many commercially operated aircraft such as the Boeing 777, 787 Dreamliner and various aircraft across the Airbus fleet including the A380.
