Working with Professor of Luso-Hispanic Studies Irina Feldman in long-term Spanish-language research on indigenous politics and social movements in the Plurinational State of Bolivia. Analyzing official sociopolitical commentary by the Bolivian Vicepresidency, I produce Spanish-language portfolios on their authors and content, contributing to a book on the topic. I further spearhead the continued development of the course SPAN0347--Indigenous Peoples and Social Movements of Bolivia, developing recommendations for the course's direction.

Working as a Teaching Assistant for ENVS0112, Natural Science and Environment, the introductory environmental studies class at Middlebury. To manage the diverse needs of students in this introductory class, I provide both lecture-based teaching and assistance with lab work, utilizing strong knowledge of the natural sciences and a firm grasp of statistical analyses, scientific conventions, and report presentation. This role involves hosting weekly office hours to advise students, as well as maintaining weeklong availability to answer questions via email.

Conducted comprehensive point counts and targeted avian surveys in remote Northwestern Ecuador, focusing on species listed by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). Undertook extensive fieldwork, hiking over 10 miles daily on self-constructed trails across exceptionally steep and rugged cloud forest ecosystem. Field work required unwavering attention to detail and dedication to ethical research practices. Individually processed and interpreted data, culminating in the generation of a scientific report published by the School for International Training and presentation of research findings at a symposium.

Returned to my 2021 position at request of program director. Again worked as a field technician in remote areas of northern Maine, directly employed by the Maine Natural History Observatory and under the management of the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife. Conducted breeding bird surveys in assigned priority blocks, recorded evidence of breeding status, and entered data into an online database for processing. Primarily individual, physically demanding work in wilderness conditions, incessant insect presence, and little cell service.
