• What are the specific duties/functions/responsibilities of your position? During normal operations, assist the NOHSEP leadership staff as directed in preparing the city government and citizens for emergencies and disasters. Particular duties vary greatly dat to day. They include daily operations section duties that maintain situational awareness of events in the city (i.e. severe weather) and notify the necessary points of contact and agencies who need to be made aware. Review, revision and updating of current operational plans, policies and CEOC procedures. In an event of an emergency, serve as the Operations Section Chief on the “A” shift. Maintain and provide impute to various NOHSEP plans Development, design and management of Exercises. Conduct Community Outreach and preparedness training, with a focus on Active Shooter and hurricane preparedness. Assist the public with disaster and preparedness questions. Set battle rhythm and staff the CEOC with the proper Liaisons during all Levels of activation, level I, II and III. Manage and maintain the NOHSEP Emergency Communications radio equipment and personnel.
