Designed and developed and ran simulations for telescope pieces on Solidworks for the BLAST telescope. Also worked on the Simons Observatory Telescope LATR and optics tubes. Worked as part of a team of undergraduate, graduate, and post-doc researchers. -Engineered a telescope pivot for the BLAST telescope, executing force and buckle tests on Solidworks; engineered a pivot motor adhering to NASA guidelines, leading to successful mathematical formulas and physical testing.-Developed flight gondola components and authored a paper on open-sourcing for balloon telescopes, presenting findings at Balloontech conference in Minneapolis and NASA Wallops Flight Facility.-Performed stress, buckling, design, and topology finite element analysis on Solidworks software and wrote project reports. -Wrote a scientific paper to be published on the product line development of the pivot motor.
