Responsible for grant procurement, data analysis and co-ordination of the Molecular Neurodegeneration lab in the Memory Unit at Sant Pau Hospital. We apply -omic approaches to develop analytical tools for disease risk assessment, preclinical diagnosis, disease subtyping and disease prognosis in the field of neurology and psychiatry, with a principal focus on Alzheimer’s disease. The two principal pillars of this research line are the development of (1) genetic screening tools and (2) pathway specific biomarkers that could be used in the clinical and trial setting.
