I developed, marketed, and led both educational and social programs for residents that promoted academic excellence, positive mental health practices, and community. I collaborated with a number of on-campus departments and organizations to do so.I also fostered a positive, safe and inclusive living environment within the hall and promoted cultural acceptance and resolved conflict when necessary. Additionally, I maintained the safety and security of the building during rounds.

I conducted research on the role of social media, primarily Twitter, in social movements as a tool for mobilization and as a protest tactic. I also analyzed social media's role in the democratic process as a whole and in engaging youth in politics. I used the protests in Ferguson, MO and the Black Lives Matter movement as a case study.This research culminated in a research paper.In this position I also represented the Center for the Study of Race and Democracy at academic events on campus.
