I work with account executives to make sure that customers' orders are in and allocated for next day delivery. Most orders that go on the Sysco "Fish Truck" have about 45% seafood, with the remaining 55% being regular food items or paper products. Every afternoon, I receive a list of 8 fresh seafood items that we have received in and pick 4 to have as specials for the night.Orders come in via email and phone calls, with a majority of them coming in from customers' account executives via email. My goals with this position are to ensure that each order has at least one piece of seafood on it, and to learn about the different kinds of seafood Sysco has to offer, and where the seafood comes from.
