Growing up in Barker NY, a small rural town, I learned to plant a pristine vegetable garden, feed my grandfather's cows, swing a softball bat, play the piano, and master my familial trade of water skiing.These hobbies morphed into hours in the library in August of 2014, when I began my time at the University of Rochester. Here I added to my repertoire of skills, including mastering the art of qPCR, leading a field hockey team, immersing myself in the strong Deaf community, and handling heavy satire from patients who knew I was a new patient care volunteer on their surgical floor.After graduating from the U of R with a B.S. in Microbiology, I enrolled at the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences PharmD program. As a student and pharmacy intern, I became heavily involved in professional pharmacy organizations to advocate for pharmacists, our profession, and our patients. In May 2022, I graduated as a PharmD with strong interests in pursuing residency training to further develop my knowledge and skills as a clinical pharmacist. I then completed a PGY1 inpatient Pharmacy Residency at Buffalo General Medical Center, and currently am in my fourth quarter of a PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency with the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Buffalo Medical Group. Up next, I am seeking a position as an ambulatory care clinical pharmacist where I may collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive, cost-effective, patient-centered care. Some of my clinical pharmacy passions include chronic disease management (diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, heart failure, atrial fibrillation, COPD), transitions of care, and geriatrics. Through my role as an ambulatory care pharmacist, I hope to contribute to the expansion of clinical pharmacy services offered to patients across New York State.
