In this position I develop and manage the Office Composing Program and help with waste diversion efforts on campus. The OCP provides organic waste collection services to department offices across campus to achieve compliance with California’s SV1383. Along with another assistant, I conduct routine compost pickups and collect weight data to gauge the progress of the program. I am also responsible for researching food waste diversion and creating educational opportunities to inform students, faculty and staff on composting.

As president of Epsilon Eta SDSU, I act as an official spokesperson for the organization, and am responsible for leading all general body and executive board meetings. I also assist other executive board members with their duties and guide members through the recruitment process. Lastly, I help coordinate special events, such as volunteer opportunities and community engagement activities, for members with local nonprofits in the San Diego area.
