* I initially worked at the Sunday Tribune as a senior news reporter and feature writer, specialising in education and social affairs. I also wrote regularly for the arts section.* Appointed Sunday Tribune deputy news editor in spring 2001, working closely with the news editor to co-ordinate the team of reporters, feature writers and columnists. I was fully involved in the managing and mentoring of journalists, the commissioning and editing of stories and ensuring that deadlines were met. I continued to write features/interviews for the arts section, including a three-year period as television critic.* Appointed Sunday Tribune news editor in summer 2005. My previous role expanded to running the newsdesk, leading the news team, coordinating the news diary and producing a quality section every week while adhering to strict budgets and deadlines.* Appointed Sunday Tribune arts editor in spring 2008. In conjunction with our designer, I completely revamped the arts section and, despite a minuscule budget, we excelled in our coverage of music, film, books and theatre.* From 2009 onwards, I was also a senior proofreader across all sections of the newspaper.* I regularly appeared on national radio representing the Sunday Tribune.
