My duties during this role include answering the phones, checking and replying to emails, data entry, filing the necessary paperwork, general front office duties, booking in new quotes for customers with our sales people. I recently made the move from the factory position for Barrier Homes Screens and Security (sister company)to the office position as I believe starting in an admin role will help me in the future for when I am ready to start my career in Human Resources.

During this role, I was tasked with managing counter sales of both fuel and in-store products. As this role was a solo position, it was up to me to interact and handle customers and their queries as they came into the store. I was also in charge of running the store and restocking supplies.

In this role I worked across sales, fries, server positions within store, complete prep work within the kitchen, cleaning dishes, cash handling, general cleaning, restocking drink fridges, ensuring best customers experience- speed of service, food quality and presentation and follow all food safety and WH&S policies and procedures. Working in this role again brings out my time management skills, quick worker skills, also brings out my team work skills and I have to be organised in the tasks given to me and complete them within a timely manager in which is most important.

My duties as a kitchen hand involved cleaning dishes, preparing and handling food, greet customers, cash handling, complaint handling and general cleaning. This position was an essential part of developing my customer service skills and help developed my work ethic. This role opened up my time management skills as working in a kitchen, you need to be time effecient and quick.
