I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education, majoring in Recreation and Sport Management from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in May 2020. After my graduation I dedicated my time to working with low-income youth as a part of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Benton and Franklin Counties, while also committing my time off to serving in San Luis Rio Colorado with Caring Hearts Ministry. It is through these experiences that I have been able to envision a career focused on meeting the needs of the most vulnerable. Through this experience, I have grasped an understanding of my heart for serving the community while also ensuring those who are underrepresented, and underserved are given an equitable opportunity of success. With a heightened understanding of my desire to serve those around me, I continued my academic journey at Arizona State University earning my Masters of Social Work. As a part this 2-year program at ASU I was able to be enhance my experience related to policy, administration and community practice. After interning with the City of Phoenix Housing Department, I was able to enhance my administrative capabilities as an intern within the quality assurance department at Christian Family Care. While also continuing to utilize my youth development skills as a substitute teacher for Summit School. I am now able to combine my direct practice and macro practice skills as a Licensed Master of Social Work for Suncrest Care as the Palliative Social Worker.
