Provide evidence-based interventions to Veterans inpatient and outpatient presenting with comorbid disorders and multiple traumatic events that include combat, military, and/or sexual traumas via in-person and telehealth modalities. Conduct at least one psychological evaluation per week using the Clinician Administered PTSD Scale for DSM-5 Revised (CAPS-5 R) to determine diagnostic status of PTSD and appropriate treatment options. Administer and interpret various measures (e.g., PHQ-9, PCL-5, BAM-R, Q-LES-Q-SF, FOCI, MMPI-II-RF, MMPI-3, MCMI-IV, TOMM, SIRS-2, MENT, M-FAST) and write integrated reports for the purposes of diagnostic clarity and treatment planning. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments. Provide individual Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Concurrent Treatment of PTSD and Substance Use Disorders using Prolonged Exposure (COPE), Written Exposure Therapy (WET), Trauma Informed Guilt Reduction Therapy (TrIGR). Additional experience with Cognitive Behavioral Conjoint Therapy (CBCT), Skills Training in Affective and Interpersonal Regulation (STAIR), MotivationalInterviewing/Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MI/MET) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) for symptom management, emotion regulation, and skill building. Co-facilitate a weekly DBT skills group via telehealth. Initiated and facilitate an Emotion Awareness and Regulation group for male and female Veterans in residential PTSD programming. Provide consult and admissions coordination. Participate in weekly interdisciplinary team meetings and weekly case conferences. Participate in training committee. Provide supervision coverage for pre-doctoral psychology interns and post-doctoral residents.

Rotation 1 - Trauma Recovery Program: Provided psychotherapy and assessment services to Veterans who experienced combat, military, and/or sexual traumas as well as co-morbid mental health concerns via in-person and telehealth modalities. Initiated two psychological evaluations per week using the Clinical Administered PTSD Scale (CAPS) for DSM-5 to determine diagnostic status of PTSD and appropriate treatment options. Provided psychodiagnostic feedback and created collaborative treatment plans. Co-facilitated Cognitive Behavioral Conjoint Therapy (CBCT) with two dyads to address relationship distress and PTSD in one or both partners. Administered and interpreted various measures (e.g., MMPI-2-RF, MCMI-IV, SIRS-2, M-FAST, MENT, DES-II) and wrote integrated reports for the purposes of diagnostic clarity and treatment planning. Participated in weekly didactics, interdisciplinary team meetings and seminars. Primary treatment interventions included CPT, PE, TriGR, and CBCT. Additional experience with STAIR, MI/MET, and DBT. Rotation 2- Outpatient Polytrauma/TBI: Provided psychotherapy and assessment services to Veterans and Active Duty Service Members with traumatic or acquired brain injury with co-morbid mental health concerns via in-person and telehealth modalities. Initiated psychological evaluations using the CAPS-5 to determine diagnostic status of PTSD and appropriate treatment options. Provided psychodiagnostic feedback and created collaborative treatment plans. Conducted and interpreted brief neuropsychological batteries (e.g., DCT; Rey 15; WAIS IV, Selected Subtests; Delis-Kaplan Executive Functioning System, selected subtests; Trailmaking Test A and B; Grooved Pegboard) and wrote integrated reports for the purposes of diagnostic clarity and treatment planning. Participated in didactics, journal club, multidisciplinary team meetings and seminars. Treatment interventions included CPT, PE, and CBT-D.

Center for Sexual Trauma Services- Provided evidence-based interventions to Veterans presenting with comorbid disorders and multiple traumatic events that include MST, CSA, and other adult sexual and physical abuse. Co-facilitated a weekly PTSD skills group, conducted psychological evaluations and provided feedback and treatment recommendations. Completed intensive workshop in PE for PTSD from the Center for the Study and Treatment of Anxiety. Completed intensive workshop in CPT through the VA National Center for PTSD. Treatment interventions: CPT, PE, and MI. 2. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Pilot Program- Provided individual and group therapy services to Veterans at high risk for self-harm, suicide, and high service utilization. Co-facilitated a weekly Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills group, conducted weekly individual DBT sessions and provided skills coaching calls as needed. Conducted thorough chart reviews, clinical interviews, comprehensive suicide risk assessments and treatment plans. Engaged in co-therapy with psychology extern and provided vertical supervision to two trainees. Participated in weekly therapist consultation team meeting and BHIP meeting. Treatment interventions: DBT and ACT. 3. Substance Abuse Treatment Program- Conducted outpatient consults to determine appropriate treatment options and level of care. Administered brief screening measures (e.g., PHQ-9, GAD, AUDIT). Facilitated/co-facilitated one intensive outpatient (IOP) group using the ‘Matrix Intensive Outpatient Treatment Manual’. Conducted four OP groups, including ‘Integrated Recovery’ and ‘Seeking Safety: A Model for Trauma and/or Substance Use’. Provided individual psychotherapy to Veterans with varied substance use diagnoses with an emphasis on harm reduction and relapse prevention. Co-facilitated couples’ therapy with a focus on substance abuse and combat trauma. Participated in weekly interdisciplinary team meetings. Treatment interventions: CBT, MET, MI, and ACT.

Provided neuropsychological screenings, assessments, and interventions for OEF/OIF Veterans and returning service members with injuries to more than one physical region or organ system, which results in physical, cognitive, psychological, orpsychosocial impairments and functional disability. Experienced in test selection, neurobiopsychosocial diagnostic interviewing and integrated report writing. Scheduled and provided feedback on test findings, diagnoses and clinical recommendations as wellas communication of test results to referral sources. Facilitated journal club and attended neuropsychology case conferences which include neuropsychology case presentations and neuroanatomy didactics. Conducted a weekly cognitive rehabilitation group.

Conducted individual psychotherapy with survivors of childhood physical and sexual abuse as well as various other types of trauma including adult sexual trauma, interpersonal violence, military, motor vehicle accidents and neglect. Conducted weekly Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) groups. Facilitated biopsychosocial interviews and administered and interpreted psychological testing to aid in diagnostic formulation and symptom management. Created treatment plans to monitor treatment progress.Trained by Marlene Steinberg, M.D. in the administration, scoring and interpretation ofthe Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-5 Dissociative Disorders (SCID-D).

Provided outpatient services to children and adolescents who experienced physical, sexual, psychological abuse and/or neglect, as well as those who witnessed traumatic events (e.g., domestic violence). Conducted intake interviews consisting of a comprehensive clinical interview, mental status exam and population-specific self-measures. Consulted with teachers, medical professionals, and court system as appropriate. Attended monthly didactic sessions on topics including play therapy, abuse reporting and conducting family therapy. Treatment interventions included cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, family systems therapy, and behavioral parent training.
