I worked directly under admission staff to facilitate all functions of the Samford Recruitment Team. The Recruitment team is a highly selective recruiting organization with over 100 members. Some of my roles included overseeing the team in its entirety, working closely with the selected officer team, planing team events/meeting, planning the yearly team retreat, ordering uniforms, creating excel sheets, along with directing the interview and selection process. I coordinated and lead all planning meetings with the officer team and initiate processes to ensure that tour guides were receiving adequate feedback and development opportunities. I also coordinated the recruitment possesses of new tour guides each spring when we process around 200 applications for a limited amount of space. I helped facilitate prospective family events such as Preview Days and Senior Days. Each of these events required extensive setup, communication, and planning.

I was selected to be a part of a highly selective organization that serves as host and hostesses in the Samford Admissions office. I provided weekly campus tours for prospective students and families. During each tour, I strived to effectively share information about Samford while connecting with families and sharing my own personal experience as a student. After each tour, I would write personal thank you notes to every family, thanking them for their time and visit to Samford University.

As Vice President, I worked alongside the President of the Recruitment Team. My roles in assisting the president consisted of sending team emails, helping coordinate Preview Days, leading team meetings, assisting with the team application and selection process and interviews.

I got to serve our nursing cohort for a semester as Chaplin. Directed devotionals before classes, sent out consistent messages of encouragement, organized cohort gathering, and got to speak at our cohort’s White Coat Ceremony.
