As an Environmental Scientist II for the state of North Dakota my primary responsibilities include managing and overseeing compliance under the Stage 2 Disinfection Byproduct Rule and the Phase II/V Rule. I am responsible for the development of comprehensive compliance monitoring plans under Safe Drinking Water Act guidelines for various municipal facility and distribution system projects, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. I observe and analyze chemical results through drinking water monitoring to maintain and provide safe drinking water for communities throughout North Dakota.In this position I have collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to address complex water distribution and water age issues, leading to successful project outcomes. I am also responsible for providing detailed reports on findings from water distribution studies, effectively communicating results to water operators, engineers, and community members. I provide information and guidance to the public/water operators on possible environmental hazards and health risks.
