Since joining Dorset Youth, I have contributed in person and remotely to the charity’s communications, digital content, and policy development efforts while studying at university in Bristol. This role has required strong organisational skills and effective communication with the team in Dorset to ensure smooth collaboration. My responsibilities have included creating social media content, supporting policy documentation, and contributing ideas to strengthen the organisation’s digital presence. I developed their monthly newsletter, designed social media posts, and established a social media calendar for consistent outreach. Additionally, I updated policy documents and templates to align with organisational standards and contributed to creating an "18+ Resources" page on the website to help young people in Dorset navigate adulthood.

As an intern at Bristol Women’s Voice, I engaged in various activities that enhanced my understanding of women's issues and contributed to impactful initiatives. Key responsibilities included:Event Coordination: Participated in a women’s only hustings for the local election, managing timekeeping, researching critical topics such as knife crime and domestic violence, and compiling candidate questions.Content Creation: Authored blog posts for BWV’s website on various events, including community meetings and forums, fostering awareness and engagement within the community.Activity Leadership: Led discussions on feminist inspirations during events, facilitating meaningful conversations among participants.Social Media Management: Scheduled and managed social media content using Buffer, creating engaging posters and posts with Canva to promote events and campaigns.Research and Reporting: Developed a report briefing on the Fawcett Society’s “Transforming Early Childhood Education” and presented a social action toolkit to enhance organisational operations.My internship at BWV solidified my passion for advocating for women's rights and provided me with valuable skills in research, policy development, and public speaking. I look forward to continuing my work in this field and contributing to meaningful change.

During my time at The Beaufort Arms, I developed extensive hospitality skills and advanced into a leadership role within the team. Initially focused on bartending and waitressing, I honed my abilities in customer service, drink preparation, and food service. I later transitioned to a Team Leader role, where I took on additional responsibilities, including supervising shifts and supporting the team in delivering exceptional guest experiences.
