I am a graduate of the Environmental Resources Engineering program at the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry.I am currently an Engineer II at Barton & Loguidice (B&L) and have worked at B&L for 3 years. I have participated in the design of a finished water clear well, where I generated a CFD model to corroborate published baffling factors, determine cumulative chlorine distribution. Generated CFD models for the redesigned UV reactor and finished water header, and the vendor provided reactor geometry to validate the design and produce velocity data. Performed chemical dosing, chemical bulk storage, impacts on water chemistry and Langelier Saturation Index calculations. Designed water system distribution extension including miles of transmission main and distribution main, a pumping station, and a 0.5MG concrete potable water storage tank. Designed and served as construction administrator for redundant water transmission main crossings at critical failure points within a regional water distribution system. Designed a sanitary sewer conveyance system extension including a pump station and force main with a large horizontal direction drill. Generated pump curves for existing and future conditions of pumps and sanitary system. Utilized geospatial software to produce products for reports and proposals. Utilized geospatial software to extract collected GPS data and perform differential corrections. I worked as an Wastewater Engineer 1 at Woodard & Curran. I worked as a wastewater intern at Woodard & Curran collecting data on a town's sanitary sewer collection system by measuring the inverts of each of the inlet and outlet pipes in the sewer manholes. In addition to the invert measurements, photos of each invert pipe opening and any defects were taken using a GoPro camera. The data collected in the field was added to features in an ESRI Collector App in real time. I attached photos from the GoPro camera to specific features in the ESRI Collector App. Back in the office I also downloaded the information from the online GIS cloud from the Collector App to a desktop format to be edited. Through this internship I worked in the field and in the office, which allowed me to improve my time management skills to be able to accomplish all of my work. I also managed my own field work schedule and worked with sub-contractors to finish as much field work as possible.
