I work as the liaison between students, faculty, and the nonprofit coordinators to promote ethical volunteerism that connects to concepts learned in class. I am responsible for leading reflections throughout the semester to ensure both students and the organization feel that their service is purposeful and effective.

I have been babysitting in New Jersey since the beginning of high school. I babysit kids between newborns and young adults. I facilitate activities, am responsible for providing food, ensuring safety, and have developed strong relationships with the kids I work with. I have worked with a maximum of four kids with different ages and have longstanding relationships with local families.

I was responsible for groups of five to ten children ages four to six between 8am and 3pm. I worked to improve skills such as balance, turning, stopping, and control. I led games and activities for the children to learn and have a positive experience on the mountain. I was responsible for distributing meals, keeping the children entertained, and keeping the children safe. I facilitated an environment of positive reinforcement and fun. The pandemic unfortunately paused my experience with COVID restrictions barring me from working the past two winters.
