Worked as Research Assistant under the supervision of Dr. Andrew Jeffs, Associate Professor at University of Auckland, and Chris Gaskin, project coordinator of the Northern New Zealand Seabird Trust. Facilitated an analysis of zooplankton samples as part of a larger study of seabird population dynamics and diet, as well as identification of zooplankton species encountered in the Hauraki Gulf Marine Park. Aided M.Sc and PhD students at Leigh Marine Laboratory as field and lab assistant in studies on microplastics in sediment, juvenile mussel restoration, and lobster populations in local marine reserves.

Worked on two 6-week ocean voyages aboard 134-foot auxiliary sailing and oceanographic research vessel Robert C. Seamans in the South Pacific, traveling from American Samoa to New Zealand. Fulfilled all watch-standing and ship operation responsibilities, including navigational duties, ship maintenance, deployment and retrieval of oceanographic equipment, and sample collection and processing.

Greater Boston Area

Planned and managed curriculum, on the water drills and safety, and daily debriefs for two 3-week advanced dinghy courses of 10-16 students. Coordinated all logistics for two overnight camping voyages to Boston Harbor Islands in 19' keelboats.

Eleuthera, The Bahamas

Taught Caribbean literature and creative and analytical writing to high school sophomores and juniors at a boarding semester school, and co-led one final project (approximately 3 weeks) per semester. Assistant Lead for 9-day sailing expedition each semester on Hurricane Island Outward Bound 30-foot sailboats, facilitated all expedition preparation as well as on-board learning, safety, and debriefs. Advised four students, meeting with them weekly, advocating for their needs, and communicating weekly updates with each advisee’s family. Conducted residential duty twice a week, operating as day's point person for 52 students' needs, and supported community meetings and morning exercise on daily basis.

Designed and finalized video and visual content for marketing and sales purposes. Collaborated with Senior Product Managers on both visual search and visual intelligence products. Helped the product management teams as otherwise needed to define their direction and meet deadlines.
