I am a program manager, strategic relationship builder, facilitator (in-person and virtual), and educator focused on work rooted in equity. As a Latina and a first-generation college graduate, I have dedicated my career to investing in individuals and communities that have often been marginalized.Most recently at the Obama Foundation, I worked to develop strategic partnerships focused on supporting and connecting young leaders to the civic engagement space as they worked to solve their generation’s most pressing problems. Additionally, I used my content creation skills to support the Foundation’s flagship programs and build out content related to leadership development, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and community organizing. During my time at an ed-tech startup, as a sales associate and content creator, I learned how to operate in an incredibly fast-paced environment, balancing rapidly changing goals, iterating constantly, and finding success against aggressive timelines. I owned long-term projects in my territories and partnered with senior leadership to create sustained results.From the classroom, to start-ups, to not-for-profit work, I have become an expert in diversity, equity, and inclusion programming, leadership development, and building strategic partnerships. I’ve learned to think on my feet, keep calm under pressure and against timelines, and use data early and often to measure outcomes and success. I’m interested in and passionate about building intentional community and harnessing individual leadership to create systemic changes that can positively impact an entire organization.
