Hello!My name is Olivia Maurice, I am a proud member of English River First Nation located in northern Saskatchewan but I'm currently residing in Saskatoon, SK. I am a 3rd year student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan started in Fall of 2020. I have a focus in Mineral Processing and am interested in energy resources, new and old!I’m currently working with Saskatchewan Research Council as a Mineral Processing intern and began this position in May of 2023. My expected end date is August 2024, following this internship I will be returning to my studies at the University of Saskatchewan. Starting in Fall of 2024, I will begin my position as Vice President of our school's AISES chapter, a group focused on indigenous engineering and STEM related excellence and inclusivity. Through my experience and education, I have gained strong interest in energy resources and community engagement, I hope to bridge the gap of indigenous traditional knowledge and engineering to allow communities and industry reach goals and maintain positive and valuable relationships.In my spare time I run two small businesses and enjoy spending time with my family, friends and two cats! I have a passion for connecting with others and have honed these skills from working various retail positions, performing in theatre productions and through public speaking events upwards of 300 attendees.
