Through the University of Sydney Writing Hub, I'm currently teaching in an Open Learning Environment called Professionalism in the Workplace. Students from all faculties learn how to set career goals, understand professional codes of ethics, and build communication and networking skills. Their final assessment is to update their LinkedIn profiles. I have undertaken to update mine too, because we are all learning together.

I was very grateful to be awarded one of the highly competitive University of Sydney Postdoctoral Research Fellowships in 2015. I'm grateful to the University of Sydney Research Office for the flexibility to pause my fellowship in order to take up an appointment on notice to teach full-time in the English department in 2016, and again in 2017-18 while I took parental leave. I am also grateful for the opportunity to complete my fellowship on a part-time basis. Achievements in this role include the ARC Discovery Project Award Jane Austen and Maternal Disinheritance: The Leigh Family Archive (with Prof Mary Spongberg), the publication of seven academic journal articles, four book chapters, an edited collection and a scholarly edition of a Romantic-era novel. I've also published three articles on The Conversation and various blog-posts and short articles, besides giving many presentations to academic and community groups.
