MECOPP is Scotland’s leading Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) carers’ organisation providing a range of support services to carers and cared for people from BME and other marginalised communities. This role has lead responsibility for the development and delivery of awareness-raising and capacity building activities to existing carer support services and wider BME/equalities organisations. Working with the Carer Centre Manager’s Network, the aims include contributing to the longer term sustainability of local carer centres by building their capacity to better understand what is required to effectively support BME carers and carers with other protected characteristics, articulate this at a policy/strategic level and to utilize equality requirements as leverage for additional funding/services, as well as supporting operational change to provide a more inclusive service.

Disability and Inclusion with Climate Activism - Collective running talks and trainings in person or online.

Design and delivery of democratic participatory process including community consultation, development of a new strategy and decision making for Extinction Rebellion Scotland next steps. Facilitated reparations sessions as part of evaluation and community building with 100s of members Scotland wide.

Overarching coordinator and line management of the Zero Waste Edinburgh projects, covering 6 areas across the city centers 3 premises of a Swapshop, Scotlands first Food Waste Supermarket, Upcycling workshop and Bike Kitchen.
