• Recruited and consulted prospective students and their families in groups of 1-20 by leading campus tours, accompanying families at lunch, mingling at admissions events, and participating in Q&A panels to help families decide if Lake Forest College was the best fit for them and to help the school meet goals for student acceptance of admission• Contacted prospective students by phone banking and hosting online chatting forums, sending students emails with additional information about the college

• Collaborated with 2 biology lab members • Researched ant species in the Chicago area to study how wildlife adapts to urbanization along a transect• Independently presented research to an audience uninformed of the subject area at the annual student symposium • Collected data for a 5-year ongoing research project to measure ant diet preference in several Chicagoland nature preserves, parks, and rooftop gardens

• Performed manual labor on an organic farm to help one of the largest nongovernmental seed banks in the U.S. preserve global heirloom garden and food crop heritage through seed regeneration, distribution, and exchange during their summer season • Recognized by supervisors as high-performing employee with excellent leadership skills

• Researched independently with the PUP Global Heritage Consortium to consult a private nature park (Mistico Hanging Bridges Park) to help inspire global conservation efforts in their visitors. • Corresponded and interviewed with guides and park administration to discern a social scientific baseline for the company’s integration of “interpretation” in their nature guiding • Interpreted scientific research by presentation in Spanish to non-technical Mistico Park audience and peers • Prepared, evaluated, and edited a clear and accurate technical research report communicating the research background, methods, discussion, and results by using Microsoft Word software to review, format, and correct the document• Launched a year-long project carried out by my supervisor to implement interpretive nature guiding into Mistico Park
