I am currently in my 8th year teaching elementary aged children. I previously taught 5th Grade and now I am in my 6th year teaching 1st Grade at Oregon Elementary School. I have acquired and maintained many professional attributes during my time as a teacher. I am an excellent communicator for both adults and children. I also ensure that every student and caregiver feel understood and appreciated. I absolutely love making connections with my families and students. I am also skilled in time management. I am able to complete tasks for both myself and with my students in a timely matter.Within my 6 years teaching of teaching at Oregon, I have also been the recipient of two grants for my school. I secured new teaching materials for our grade level as well as diversity materials for our school. Recently, I have decided that a new role outside of the classroom will be my next step. I will always care deeply for students, caregivers, and the education system as a whole. However, I feel that I can make a bigger impact in a different role.My passions in the education system include inclusive education, emotional learning, and positive home to school relationships. I plan to continue sharing these passions as I take on a new role within the education system.
