Supported a group of four UNH undergraduate students in building a carbon inventory for Wolfe's Neck Center - a working dairy/vegetable farm and research and education center. Worked directly with contacts at WNC to collect raw data required for the Sustainability Indicator Management and Analysis Platform (SIMAP). Met with students and Carbon Clinic team lead weekly to review data and define project parameters. Used the complete carbon inventory to develop emissions reduction scenarios to inform next steps for WNC leadership in pursuit of sustainable operations.

- Manually took 69 soil samples across 73 acres of pasture to inform dairy nutrient management updates- Executed a pasture seed trial under a USDA Conservation Innovation Grant (CIG): took soil samples from the four study plots, seeded each 1-acre plot with drought-resistant summer annual crops using a no-till drill, set-up game cam to capture growth - Completed a life cycle assessment using an open-source platform, Cool Farm Tool, for organic milk produced by the farm’s dairy operation, reported findings to Stonyfield Organic’s global leadership team to communicate progress and challenges - Developed and ran a community mapping training and crafted tutorials for online farm management tools for five fellows

- Synthesize data, conduct analyses, and communicate takeaways for 15 higher-education clients nationwide including the University of Chicago, Bowling Green University, Auburn University, Wayne State University, and Towson University- Author PowerPoints, Executive Summaries, and cut sheets for college Facilities Departments to use as tools to communicate campus funding needs and asset management strategies to campus leadership and other key stakeholder groups- Analyze carbon emission trends to identify areas for improvement to help campuses achieve their sustainability goals- Personally present to Campus Presidents and Boards of Trustees to educate leadership and build consensus around strategic approaches to capital planning and decision making- Promoted to Sustainability Specialist in December 2019 as a result of ongoing leadership and catalyzing change as the newest member of the group; engaged with senior colleagues to re-frame Gordian’s value proposition, consolidated internal knowledge, resources, and group communication, created new tools and rejuvenated existing trainings for beginning analysts

-Participate in weekly team meetings; take meeting minutes, support meeting objectives, contribute announcements-Develop and update CFN's website using WordPress-Edit annual reports, proposals, and other documents and produce summaries to be shared externally

-Guided visitors through hands-on farm tours; shared history, modern practices, and directed interactive activities-Assisted with chores; milking goats, herding cows, clipping goat toenails, weeding, restoring barn windows-Processed 80 free-range chickens that were raised on the farm as chicks

Awarded the David Schuyler Research Fellowship to conduct a 10 week research project on stormwater management in New York City. The objective of my research was to assess stormwater management in NYC and its surrounding waterways, analyzing the threat of pollution on water quality through an environmental, economic, and social lens.

-Worked with PG&E to perform in-depth energy and water audits in 194 homes in two counties-Installed household energy and water-saving measures in homes, educated customers about sustainable living practices, completed stock inventory, coordinated transportation for partnerships, recorded daily mileage-Refined customer-service and communication skills in both English/Spanish through professional relations with clients

-Lived with a host family for three months taking care of three children (4, 6, 8 years-old) 8-hours daily, 6 days a week -Cared for children, taught English to all family members, saw to housework-Accepted by Au Pair agency through an application, an agency interview, and Skype interviews with potential families

-Crafted radio stories for national radio station KALW 91.7 and published blogs on Earthscope website-Interviewed five local experts about the environment, biotechnology, health, and sustainability using communication skills to research, write questions, and conduct interviews in person and on the phone

-Organized events for the non-profit Strategic Energy Innovations (SEI) in the education (K-12) branch of company-Piloted a Student Handbook for a local environmental magnet school similar to my high school environmental program-Performed extensive grant research to compile Excel sheets and become familiar with feasible grants for company-Illustrated and designed clips for three animated movies using Adobe Illustrator
