My team designed an innovative alternative to septic systems that conserves potable water, prevents groundwater contamination from septic mismanagement, and promotes human health in populations vulnerable to waterborne disease due to black water contamination. Qualitative research responsibilities included survey and focus group design and administration, peer-reviewed literature review, in-depth interviews with government and community stakeholders, and community-based research.
