“An everything girl!’ That was the response I received from the pint-sized preschooler that I was a nanny for in 2018 when I asked her “what do you want to be when you grow up?” Even at the tender age of four, she knew what she wanted to do: everything. In all honesty, I don’t think I had ever related more to another person. Since I was a young kiddo myself, I wanted to be a part of everything. Every dance lesson, every sport, every show, all of the time. I had a life to live, and I didn’t want to miss even a sliver of what it had to offer. As I started to think about career paths in high school, I ran into similar challenges that I faced in my youth: wanting to do “everything”. I was aware that I had been gifted with various skills that would serve me well in many different industries. What first appeared as an obstacle, later showed itself to be my key to success. I simply accepted that I was born to be an interdisciplinary extrovert with a passion for people.I utilize my organizational, writing, content creation, public speaking, and leadership skills to fulfill my passion for helping others. Since the realization that these skills could be used in a multitude of avenues, I headed into the degree program that further validated my belief in becoming a multifaceted millennial: Theatre Arts. My first two years were spent sharpening my soft skills, and learning everything I could about the technical, performance, and business sides of theater. From working on a lighting crew to running public relations operations, I was shown the value of teamwork like it had never been shown to me before, and set my mind on being a life-long learner. It was this mindset and love for learning that inspired me to add a communications major, along with a minor in digital media. In addition to my education in the classroom, I have been able to gain hands-on experience in the workforce including 8 years of childcare and after school program leadership, 2 years of customer service, and over 300 hours of community service for organizations throughout Wisconsin. My growth mindset, commitment to excellence, and love for people perfectly position me as a qualified candidate for a career in care giving, communications, public relations, content creation, or a new adventure! Theatre is made when all departments work together, and your team will work best...with me on it!
