Hello! My name is Olivia Stanforth and I'm currently an undergraduate at the University of Dayton pursuing a Biology major with the hope of attending medical school to become a physician in the ER. I also am pursuing a minor in Spanish, a language that is very familiar and important to my family and me. At UD, I'm a member of many service organizations and fraternities. I'm in the biology fraternity, where biology majors have service opportunities, speakers, and events pertaining to the field. I'm also a member of the pre-med fraternity, that provides both service and events as well that are centered around healthcare and medicine. I'm in Habitat for Humanity, where we go on "builds" to help construct houses around the Dayton community. I also volunteer weekly at Miami Valley Hospital, and have helped both in the Advanced Treatment Area and the ER. Outside of UD, I worked for Taylor Technical Consulting, a start-up technical writing firm, as an intern. Through this experience, I learned skills in many different fields such as branding, writing, editing, marketing, and collaboration with a variety of writers and companies. I enjoy reading novels (mostly mystery), outdoor adventures, and playing music as well (piano and guitar). My family has a folk band called Tellico, consisting of my mother, sister, grandparents, and myself. We love to play together at festivals, nursing homes, and on the living room floor.
