Lead intern at an educational consulting start-up in China which aims to create an immersive English environment for students of all ages and further promote English language learning in the region. Main tasks involved setting up and running English language camps for students at different stages of their school and university careers. Assisted in the running of the largest English language teacher training programme in the area, and presented to teachers about cultural similarities and differences in education and life more generally in the UK. Worked with the Chinese National Grid to create and featured in a promotional video to promote English language learning for their employees. Involved with outreach programmes in more rural areas to engage students and teachers in language learning and learning about different cultures. Attended Mandarin classes and scored highly in the HSK1 exam. Responsible for timetabling, sourcing instructors, organising course socials and the final competition, and promoting the course on campus. Previously completed the course, and have skills in HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Will complete the advanced Python course next semester.

Responsible for the safety and welfare of over 150 students for the duration of their stay at the international summer camp. Organised and delegated responsibilites to other staff in the boarding house to ensure the smooth running of the environment. Part of a strong pastoral team that involved constant communication and availability at all hours. Created a supportive and nurturing environment in the boarding house to ensure that the students felt happy and had an enjoyable summer camp experience. Other duties included writing reports, responsibility for the students' finances, completing fire safety check and, medical administration. In order to prepare for this role an intensive induction period was completed, including first aid training.
