As a Poetry intern with the Blood Orange Review I help with reading through submissions and providing commentary and advice on each piece I read. I also collaborate with my team on different pieces to help decide which ones get to go to publication.

Worked during the spring/summer months, Guided customers through transactions utalizing our point of sales system. I helped customers with various questions about gardening, houseplants, pets, farm animals, as Airport Gardens carried an array of products for those interests/needs. I Answered phone calls helping customers with an assortment of questions in regard to gardening, inventory etc. I also maintained store cleanliness, cared for the store cats, Karen + JP and bird, Sammy. I also Watered and cared for plants, displayed merchandise and ensured customer satisfaction.

Greeted patients to the clinic and registered them utilizing EPIC software’s. I maintained organization and efficiency at a very fast paced clinic. I Answered phone calls and recorded messages as per clinic policies. I Aided patients and coordinated them with the care and services they were seeking. I Also Verified commercial and government health insurances using online portals and call lines, I also collected co-pays.

In this internship I played a role in the development of the 59th issue of Peninsula College's Tidepool magazine. A literary and art magazine that features the works of Peninsula College Students as well as Residents of Clallam and Jefferson Counties in Washinton State. I helped read through submissions on submittable as well as editing and formatting for our final product. In addition to this I worked with my team to plan and host the launch party for the new issue as well as promotional activites on social media accounts.
