Hello, my name is Olivia Williams and I am a recent graduate of the Trulaske College of Business at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Since graduating in December of 2023, I have continued my career at The Callaway Bank as a Retail Operations Lead. I am passionate about team building, training, and continuing to learn and expand my knowledge. Ever since I can remember I have always loved learning and even after graduation, my eagerness to learn has not spotted.During my time at Mizzou, I was drawn to classes that were not only interesting but challenged me as well. I took courses that allowed me to learn about many aspects of business; anything from organizational behavior to consumer marketing to supply chain operations. I want to learn what motivates people to want to work, what attracts customers, and what allows businesses to grow. I also joined clubs such as Association of Trulaske Businesswomen to surround myself with people who also shared the same goals as me and came from all different backgrounds. Being surrounded by such amazing peers allowed me to grow more confident in my skills. I have worked in the finance and banking industry since December of 2021 when I began my career as a Teller at The Callaway Bank. During my time at this company, I have continued to expand and grow my knowledge about banking and finance. I was promoted to the role of an Assistant Personal Banker in April of 2023 where I was able to learn about account types,(both business and consumer), ownerships of funds, and how to build lasting relationships. In September of 2023, I was promoted to Retail Operations Lead. This role has allowed to me to grow my leadership skills as I help oversee a team of tellers and bankers alongside a branch manager. I have learned how to train individuals who all have different skillsets and learning styles. I have created numerous training materials for departments to use. I have also been able to develop skills in conflict management, problem solving, delegation, and communication. I have better developed these skills to help with my team members and customers.I hope to continuously expand my knowledge about not only banking but with all different aspects of business as well.
