I am a graduate from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering, with multiple Energy concentrations.I am currently employed at CIL Isotope Separations as a Process Engineer II with QC Management and Validation Engineer responsibilities. Personality Type determined by FOCUS personality test"You approach to work is to be orderly, have a clear understanding of the objectives, and pay close attention to the facts. You care about the well being of other people and when dealing with them you are tactful, sympathetic and aim to provide them with practical help to support their needs. When working on a project, you prefer to collect the facts and information necessary before making decisions. You like to have things clearly stated and accurate and patiently look at details and procedures. You are committed to meeting your obligations and take responsibility for them.""Olivia showed a depth of engineering acumen I would rarely have expected from someone with several years in the company through work she completed.... Olivia also had the strength of character to challenge the world around her. She offered new and insightful views into the paradigms we were used to, and has helped us to develop our systems as a result. Her ability to be self-driven, to seek new insight was at times remarkable." -Martin Hegarty, Operations Manager“Olivia more than capably handled the wide variety of tasks assigned to her. I found her to be extremely conscious and performed her work with commitment, minimal guidance, and with a positive attitude and sound judgment.” -Jennifer Pierce, Research Engineer

Quality AssuranceCrane Consumables Sep 2015 - Apr 2016Middletown, Us* Perform corrective action for quality concerns related to rolls of labels (i.e. color, missing labels, splices, etc.)* Prepare and package small order label products* Communicate with operators, warehouse personnel, and sales representatives to determine priority of work -
Process Engineer Co-OpBp Jun 2014 - Aug 2014London, England, GbProject 1: Identify potential improvements needed for the FCC Heat Exchanger Monitoring Excel Workbook and linked HYSYS model to provide increased accuracy of monitoring performance. These improvements allow for monitor consistency, functionality, and ease of handover to unfamiliar users.Project 2: Identify corrosion potentials throughout the refinery units and specify the corrosion mechanisms associated with the specific equipment by reviewing Recommended Good Practices, API documents, General Practices, unit handbooks, and other documents for corrosion monitoring. Indicate all instrumentation, and sampling that are currently in place and are available for corrosion monitoring of the determined parameters (measurables) that should be monitored, and may be able to be controlled or modified to avoid corrosion. Continuous Assignments :Monthly monitoring of Refinery amine systems through sampling should be conducted so that amine reclamation can be properly planned. In addition, bi-weekly information gathered from visual observation will also help in corrosion monitoring and unit troubleshooting.Weekly obtain temperature surveys for each indicated heat exchanger. Record each reading and mark them in the appropriate Tube Side In, Tube Side Out, Shell Side In, and Shell Side Out boxes on sheet and enter each reading in their respective cells on the Excel sheet. Follow directions for completing U calculations and observe/report to unit engineer trends. Prepared documentation and handover information for all developments and revisions to any existing files associated with my projects -
Engineer Co-OpBp Aug 2013 - Dec 2013London, England, GbProject 1: Develop Aspen HYSYS modeling tools, implementing mass and energy balances for the first stage pilot plant of the Veba Combi Cracking (VCC) process. The use of these modeling tools allow for ease of process troubleshooting, optimization, and act as support for pilot plant scale upProject 2: Participate in developing and managed implementation of HazOp revalidation recommendations for the first stage VCC. This includes P&ID and SOP review and revalidation. Implementation of HazOp study findings improves the safety of unit operations and mitigation of future incidents.Project 3: Design of and manage bench-top (1L) batch Spinning Band Distillation experiments using scientific methods to determine the effects of varying reflux ratios on the purity of the fractions collected, based on SimDis data. Experimental results provide insight to related SOP changes, as well as increases the quality and efficiency of the distillations.Project 4: Collaborate with the Licensing group to compose a technical report of the raw and analyzed data collected in a pilot plant test run for the first stage Veba Combi Cracking process. This report acts as support information in a technology transfer to third parties. -
Process Engineer Co-OpBp Jan 2013 - Apr 2013London, England, GbProject 1: Perform a Continuous Improvement Project by identifying gaps in Alkylation unit sampling requirements, and recommending improvements for optimization of unit monitoring analysis. Improving the Lab Analysis portion of the process allows for maximizing product yields and quality while minimizing operational costs through mass balance closures and monitoring of the isobutane to olefin ratios. Project 2: Develop a VISO diagram representing the 600 psi steam lines throughout the refinery in order to improve the efficiency of using UFDs and improve safety in the use of the steam.Continuous Assignments: Weekly obtain temperature surveys for each indicated heat exchanger. Weekly prepare composite samples of the BGOT feed and product and send it out for external testing. Note any visual observations and report to unit engineer.Communicated and collaborated with multidisciplinary groups in order to gain knowledge and understanding of unit operations, procedures, and safety. Presented findings, recommended solutions for closing gaps, and additional project results through an oral presentation and handover documentation to assist in future improvements -
Student Research AssistantSouthwestern Ohio Council For Higher Education Jan 2012 - Dec 2012Beavercreek, Ohio, UsAir Force Research Lab - Ceramics Dept. Project 1: Prepare, mount, and polish TEM samples from tensile tested carbon fibersProject 2: Prepare and examine ceramic matrix composite (CMC) characterization of engine nozzle seals by observing and imaging the micro-structure of CMC's with optical and scanning electron microscopes. Organized testing results and analyzed data.
