Project 1: Identify potential improvements needed for the FCC Heat Exchanger Monitoring Excel Workbook and linked HYSYS model to provide increased accuracy of monitoring performance. These improvements allow for monitor consistency, functionality, and ease of handover to unfamiliar users.Project 2: Identify corrosion potentials throughout the refinery units and specify the corrosion mechanisms associated with the specific equipment by reviewing Recommended Good Practices, API documents, General Practices, unit handbooks, and other documents for corrosion monitoring. Indicate all instrumentation, and sampling that are currently in place and are available for corrosion monitoring of the determined parameters (measurables) that should be monitored, and may be able to be controlled or modified to avoid corrosion. Continuous Assignments :Monthly monitoring of Refinery amine systems through sampling should be conducted so that amine reclamation can be properly planned. In addition, bi-weekly information gathered from visual observation will also help in corrosion monitoring and unit troubleshooting.Weekly obtain temperature surveys for each indicated heat exchanger. Record each reading and mark them in the appropriate Tube Side In, Tube Side Out, Shell Side In, and Shell Side Out boxes on sheet and enter each reading in their respective cells on the Excel sheet. Follow directions for completing U calculations and observe/report to unit engineer trends. Prepared documentation and handover information for all developments and revisions to any existing files associated with my projects
