It’s hard to believe, but I have been serving in a professional role within higher education for a little over seven years! I am currently serving as the International Student Services Coordinator at the University of South Alabama. I work with all incoming international students (F-1 & J-1) to prepare for arrival and life in Mobile, Alabama. This includes email campaign, online course, and personal correspondence with incoming students. I coordinate and facilitate Passport to South Orientation three times as year. I develop and successfully execute a minimum of six events each semester for our Global Jags and all students to attend. I am the creator of the weekly newsletter, The Global USA Gazette, which provides all international and permanent resident students, faculty and medical scholars, community partners, and various departments of events and other activities happening on campus. My professional experiences include serving as the Alumni Relations Coordinator, Corporate Outreach Representative, and Academic Advisor for Columbia South University. In my previous roles some of my successes include: driving Alumni Association membership and social media engagement by over 40% through target marketing email campaigns, overall exceeded yearly lead generation goals, and providing exceptional customer service and advocacy for my students.
